Burger King seems to be having big fun with a viral marketing campaign for Subservient Chicken.
This shows that they’re serious about doing it your way, and also that their ad agency is seriously deranged. I love that in an agency. ;)
The site consists of a guy in a chicken suit, complete with garter belt, (???) who will do anything you tell it to, as long as it’s not x-rated. It’s got a repertoire of over 300 actions, including dance, summersault, skip, lay an egg, watch TV, do push ups, clean the room. But it won’t strip or masturbate.
UPDATE 2019: Launched in 2004, the Subservient Chicken site racked up a million hits in the first 24 hours, and more than a billion hits so far, according to Crispin Porter Bogusky, the advertising agency responsible for the site. Wired, takes the strange view that the site is a take-off on porn site cams. Jeez. I think it’s just good fun.
