In a most interesting use of PR, The 9/11 Commission has hired Edelman PR Worldwide to generate political support for its recommendations on how to beef up U.S. defenses against terrorism.
No word on the size of the budget or who’s paying the fee.
The agency will conduct an ongoing media campaign pairing the Commissioners two-by-two — one Republican and Democrat — to talk to the media and government officials about the need to put its recommendations into place. The pairing is to maintain the bi-partisan nature of the 9/11 Commission, according to O’Dwyer.
