Ads that say “The cows are coming May 12” have popped up all over Manhattan in subways, on phone booths and bus shelters. Who are they and what do they want? Please tell me they are not going to blog.
AdFreak
asks it readers to tell what they know, and I’m asking mine — anybody know?
I am a total bovomaniac and so love everything cow related. But the Maryland State Lottery Bovine Blog and Bovine Unite campaign, that I found while Googling “The cows are coming” is yet another lame cowracter blog, supposedly written by a cow. Cool cow pictures though.
Since it’s the state lottery, this dumbass campaign us probably paid for with tax payer money. If those are the cows that are coming to New York, let me be the first to call for a tax payer revolt.

Having checked that the domain name http://www.thecowsarecoming.com is actually registered to Nestle (8 March 2005) – I’m guessing product launch…
I’m sure you’re right! Boy, that was smart. :>)
I checked the nestle web site, it dosn’t say aword about its own promo!
http://www.thecowsarecoming.com/rules.htm
I went to thecowsarecoming.com and just right-clicked and selected play for the flash animation to go. I got to a page about the contest and it has a link to the rules which i include above.
It was an ad to get your attention and google it and end up at http://www.thecowsarecoming.com, where before Ma 12 at 10am it said “check back at 10am on May 12”, then after that it was a commercial for Nestle’s Coffee Mate, who I guess was doing this the whole time.
