The top four news organizations bloggers regard most highly are pretty predictable: New York Times, CNN, BBC, and the Washington Post. J.D. Lasica, reporting from Technorati Developer’s Salon
notes that then things start to get interesting:
Top tier blogs including Slashdot, Guardian, Plastic, Suicide Girls, Salon, BoingBoing, and Instapundit, beat out established news sites like Slate, Fox, SFGate, Reuters, Drudge Report, MSNBC.com and USA Today. The conservative Wall Street Journal didn’t make the list.
What’s shocking, says Lasica, is that it’s only been two years since blogs have taken off in a big way. “Think about what the numbers will look like 10 years from now.”
