My parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone in my immediate family is well and happy, and we are so blessed. And we were lucky enough to all be able to celebrate this milestone together.

What a wonderful photo, B.L. Congratulations to your parents! Thanks for sharing this amazing milestone with us all.
Wow! That’s a seriously frightening long time.
congrats!

Monday my mother hit 96, and she is as amazing as your parents. And today I hit 72. I mean HIT! I’m excited about living another day…of anticipating another year of learning, loving, and growing. Like one of my heros, Grandma Sue Boynton, said so many years ago:
This business of growing old bothered me once when I was fifty-five. But now at threescore years and then (plus five) all fears concerning age are gone and I’m just glad to be alive! To be alive! To find upon the table of each day a brimming cup of challenge to go on…so…I’ve stopped growing old–too busy growing up!
I’m so happy for your parents. I’ve married in April and I hope that we can celebrate also our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
