Blabble is a new service that provides researchers with analysis of the thoughts and influences of influential bloggers by parsing thousands of recently-changed blogs every few minutes and breaking the text into parts of speech.
To “make sense out of the seemingly endless supply of blog information” Blabble takes into account how many people are talking about a topic, their tone (positive or negative) and a comparison of key words used.
The beta site claims that “None of our competitors come close to matching our language processing.”
Blabble technology is a mixture of several computer science disciplines including natural language processing, a subsection of artificial intelligence.
