The National Association of Realtors declared that Katrina will push home prices higher nationwide. “News outlets that picked up the story passed it along wholesale,” Dan Mitchell wrote in the New York Times. “It was left to real estate bloggers to provide context.”
Glad to hear that someone at the Times is paying attention, because the Times’ Real Estate Section often seems like little more than a voice for realtors’ press releases.
