Shel Israel reports that he and Robert Scoble are close to a deal on “The Red Couch,” their upcoming book on business blogging.
I applaud their openness about publishing, which is such a secretive, old-boy’s club industry that I often think it must be a front for something else. I haven’t figured out what yet.
If publishing were on the up and up, 99% of books would receive real promotion, instead of the .099% that get it now. My nightmare experience with Dearborn Trade Press showed me publishers don’t play with a full deck.
