Penguin, the first major publisher to join Second Life, has created a marketing plan for the paperback of Neal Stephenson’s 1992 cyberpunk novel Snow Crash in Second Life, The Book Standard reports.
Greene & Heaton, a London-based literary agency, has opened a literary ofice where agent Will Francis (Second Life name Will Fresse) will be available online 7 – 8 p.m. on Wednesdays “to answer questions from residents about landing an agent and taking a book from typescript to publication, and will aim to find new Greene & Heaton clients amongst the communities of writers and artists who ‘live’ in Second Life (population 1 million and growing). Anyone interested can contact him in the game via the instant messenger system or drop by the office at Hyperborea 107,99,23”.
