What software is on Michael Dell’s laptop? Not Vista! Heh!
Dell’s using Ubuntu – a community developed, linux-based operating system, according to Doc Searles in Linux Journal.
When Searles wrote his post, Dell didn’t have Microsoft Vista on any of his computers, but the Dell site was changed to show that he has Vista on his desktops.
Says the Ubunto website: “Ubuntu is an African word meaning ‘Humanity to others’, or ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. The Ubuntu distribution brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the software world.”
