Volvo is sponsoring the first podcast on Calcanis, Inc.’s Autoblog. The first interview is with Ford’s director of marketing.
This podcast bored me to tears, but I can certainly see listening to podcasts about subjects in which I am interested. How long til there’s a way to charge for podcasts as an alternative to teleseminars? Talk about a business opportunity.
ipodder.com reports there now are more than 3000 podcasts: Internet radio brodcasts for iPods and other MP3 devices.

That’s the problem I am having getting much into the podcasting furor. If a print or online item, bores me to tears I can tell in about two seconds and move on. It takes more time to give podcasting that “sample,” and so I find myself wasting too much time for too little substance. I recently started listening only to podcasts that someone I know has recommended. (The other option is not listen at all – which is becoming more and more likely.)
That’s the problem with Volvo. They’re so into safety, they can’t do an edgy podcast to save their lives!
