fakebloggers.pngThere are fake blogs and there are parody blogs – and News Groper apparently believes that when it comes to parody blogs, too much ain’t enough. Also today, on Twitter, a parody (or not) of Whole Food’s sockpuppet CEO John Mackey appeared.
News Groper launched more than 50 parody blogs today, in the name of celebrities including George Bush, the Dalai Lama, Ann Coulter, Courtney Love and Barak Obama are all represented. Some of the posts are a hoot:

Oprah:”As it is written: I awoke in my diamond-encrusted canopy bed with a divine sweat (my perspiration formed a perfect “O” in my 3 billion thread count sheets) and summoned Gayle, my disciple/editor/homegirl. I sayeth unto her: “Wake up! I am in need of counsel.”
Dick Cheney: “I’m the vice president. According to the Constitution, I answer to no one. Believe me, I know, I’ve read it. I can get the pieces from my shredder’s waste bin and show you. I legislate legislations and execute POWs in our custody. THAT’S IT! THAT’S MY JOB!”

Can 50 celebrity parody blogs be funny every day? Not bloody likely. But maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised.
TechCrunch says News Groper is founded by Greg Galant, Adam Varga, Jared Neumark and Koshlan Mayer-Blackwell.
