Hold on to your hat. This is shocking!
In a blinding, and incredibly expensive, flash of the obvious a new study says that – people 16-29, “the Net Generation,” prefer the Internet to television. In fact, Digital Natives say they could live without TV, but not without the Internet. No! Really?
New research from New Paradigm – which is spending $4 million to study the global “Net Generation” – indicates that in the future more companies will have to use the Internet to reach consumers. Astounding!
Also buried in the report is the useful recommendation that “A good place to begin for many marketers is through social networks. Marketers can cheaply create an informational place for users to learn about products and services and share their opinions.”
Is that worth $4 million to you?

These studies honestly make me run in fear that some company may be that oblivious. Although it does remind me of a conversation I had with Time Warner when I went to only setup /internet/ in my new apartment. I think they asked me about 5 times “Wait… so you just want cable modem? No cable TV? Not even the basic channels.” That’s right, kiddies!
