Rep Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) tells Congress that Wall St has perpetrated the greatest financial crimes in history and should not get a bailout without accountability where it counts – to the American people. And, she says, prosecute every single one of the thieves responsible, with an independent investigative committee.
You go Rep Kaptur! Everyone needs to listen to every word she says. And don’t miss the Bush quip at the end. Jeez!

Unfortunately I can’t see the congress, senate, the SEC, the Fed, and everyone involved in the whole meltdown being prosecuted.
I think they should go on with the bailout, but the way Sweden did, by “extracting pounds of flesh from bank shareholders before writing checks”.
I think that’s more or less what Rep Marcy Kaptur means.
Yeah this is quality stuff! Definitely sharing it with others. Everything she says is true. More and more each day our government and it’s peers look more corrupt.
And we are just seeing the beginning of a massive public revenue give away. We’re bailing out GM, who wouldn’t build smaller more efficient cars in the 70s..we’re going to bail out GE who builds atomic subs…the steel companies were subsidized for 30 years and they’re due for another round of taxpayer funding…but will kids have health coverage?? NO!! Will public roads and bridges getfixed? NO!! Will education benefits be expanded? NO!! Will those poor kids who get wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan come back to proper medical care? NO!! But the rich are gonna get theirs! On OUR BACKS!!!
This will never happen… half the dems working for Obama would be arrested…
Of course this will never happen since ALL the republicans working for McCain would be arrested.
The unfortunate part is that they did nothing illegal as it was an unregulated part of the industry. It’s a shame that congress and the administration did nothing when it saw this was taking place 16 months ago.
