RUMSFELD.jpgSecretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld blatantly lied on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday when he told moderator Bob Schieffer it has become “folklore” that he or the President used the phrase “immediate threat” in relation to Sadaam Hussein. “I didn’t, the president didn’t. if you have any citations, I would like to see them,” he said.
Thomas Friedman of The New York Times then confronted Rumsfeld with his statement:
“No terror state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world than the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.”
