Like most bloggers, even with Moveable Type’s blacklist installed, I start the day going through dozens of spam comments and trackbacks that various muck-sucking maggots have sent to my blog.
But today there is a difference: the spam comments and trackbacks contain the usual array of sexual and fake “great site” messages, but the urls of the spam messages phish the urls of mainstream media organizations including cbs.com, ap.org, cnbc.com, cbsnews.com, and scores of others, along with aol.com, yahoo.com, and other legitimate domains which I can’t believe are spamming blog trackbacks and comments.
What is making it possible for spammers to spoof legitimate urls with all manner of junk messages?

You need to be a bit more precise. A phish is a fake website that resemble the legitimate one.
On the other hand, some link spammers use links to legitimate sites to make it harder to use automatic blacklists. Poisoning them, if you will. Is that what you were trying to say?
