O’Dwyer PR reports (subscription required) that, ironically, Lizzie Grubman PR has been tapped to handle crisis communications for Ennis Radio’s Hot 97 radio station in New York, which aired an incredibly offensive parody of “We Are the World” mocking the tsunami disaster in South Asia.
A Michael Jackson imitator voiced the song’s vile chorus, which went: “You better run or kiss your ass away/Go find your mommy/I just saw her float by, a tree right through her head/And now the children will be sold to child slavery.” Racial slurs are also in the song.
Grubman, who famously called Long Island club-goers “white trash” right before she backed over them with her SUV, certainly knows a lot about being offensive.
