On Sunday, I’ll be part of a group dancing a really fast version of the Shim Sham Shimmy, the famous swing line dance with roots at the 1930s Savoy Ballroom.
We’ll be on stage around 2:30 on Sunday at the 92nd Street Y Street Fair on Lexington Avenue. The stage is near the entrance to the Y. C’mon over if you’re in town.
There’ll be other swing dance demos too. All of this is to promote the Swing Dance at the Y on November 12th.
