I LOVE London. It’s a gorgeous, gorgeous city. Internet connection has been remarkably difficult to sustain. I am jonseing to blog. My cell phone, gasp, doesn’t work here and I have felt like I was back in the dark ages until today when I could finally get online.
I’ve got plans to see Adriana Cronin and, at long last, Hugh Macleod.
Will blog again when I can. Sigh.
Greeting from (Astoundingly) Sunny London

Invest in a triband cell phone. And in one of those converter plugs that you get in any airport store (when your laptop is out of juice and you need to resort to electricity). Both investments are worth it!
Yes, I now know i need a tri-band cell. The converter has not been the problem about getting online. It’s been lack of adequate wireless networks. I’m staying with friends now, and there is fast internet here, thank goodness.
Hi BL,
Firstly I’d like to say this is my first blog post. It is inspired based on your session yesterday which really motivated me to finally get myself involved. I’ve got a numner of ideas and I’m determined to follow through on at least a few of them – I’ll let you know how they go. So thanks for making the trip across the pond to help this laggard get going. I heard a number of really positive discussions about the session so I think the trip was well worth it from the audience’s perspective.
On a more social note London is full of places to enjoy live music of all genres but finding them is not always easy. It is possible that the pub nearest to you has a great live band this weekend or a big act could be playing in Town this weekend.
The BBC site will of course give you a broad view: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/entertainment/music/gig_guide.shtml. Personally I like the TimeOut site: http://www.timeout.com/london/dance/
I hope you enjoy your stay in London. It is a great city and is really bought to life by a bit of sunshine!
Adrian
I LOVE London, too. The only time I’ve been was in 1999 on an assignment. My wife came along and we had a grand time.
I still have the Timberline walking shoes I bought for the London trip. Now I use them for yard work.
Enjoy yourself!
