In an effort to reach young listeners with risque marketing messages while avoiding FCC decency rules, UK-based Durex Condoms has purchased product placement in the podcasts of the racy Dawn and Drew Show
The condom maker launched a campaign featuring unscripted X-rated banter from the show, which Podcast Alley ranks as the No.2 most-downloaded podcast.
On the first podcast originally uploaded last month, Dawn and Drew and their dog, Hercules, put various samples from a Durex variety pack to the taste test. In a subsequent show, they tried a new line of tingling Durex lubricants.
