Community Voice Mail has a high-stakes deadline in an Amazon.com contest that will give a matching grant of up to one million dollars to the charity that raises the most money by Sept 30.
CVM gives homeless people in 37 cities in 19 U.S. states their own phone number and voicemail – free. And that literally provides a life-line to a homeless person. Because without a phone number, you can’t apply for a job, or be reached by a landlord, a doctor, a friend or a family member.
