I first noticed this warning on an Associated Press story a few weeks ago, and now see that’s it on every story on their site:
“© 2007 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.”
But Dictionary.com’s definition of reporting, like every other I have seen, indicates that news is something meant to be distributed and seen.
So what will AP do, sue every single site and blog that cites them as a source?
