Partners With Google
A strategic partnership with Google anchors the youth network’s free-flowing pods each half-hour with a “GoogleCurrent” interpretation of the news. The channel launches into an initial 20 million U.S. households on DIRECTV, Time Warner Cable and Comcast.
I saw Gore on The Tonight Show last night, dressed in rock star black, including cowboy boots, and he was grinning from ear to ear. Good that he finally found something to do. :>)
Viewers Can Contribute Content
Programs will be 15-second to five minute segments, and viewers are encouraged to contribute their own video content, the best of which will be aired. Contributions can be uploaded through the website. One spectacular piece of viewer contributed content (VC2), “Jumper,” which has surprisingly good production values, shows people parachuting off cliffs for fun.
The Current blog will chronicle the network’s growth.
