Last night, Zone labs issued an upgrade of its popular free firewall program, Zone Alarm. I’ve been running the program for a couple of years with no problems, so I didn’t hesitate to download the upgrade. Then all hell broke loose. The program crashed the uncrashable XP big-time.
Today, computer consultant extraordinaire Kushal Dutt has sent me news from chat rooms, forums and editorial reviews saying that the upgrade is wreaking havoc on every computer it touches.
Boycott Zone Labs for this sloppy and stupid, bug-filled upgrade. How could anyone ever trust this company again!
Shame! Shame!
