The first installment of the What’s Next Design Train Manifesto introduced the idea that progressive website design is about creating sites that are built to grow and change rather than remain static. Here are two further thoughts, more to come.

3. Any designer who creates a website that a client cannot update him/herself is a fossil. Clients have a right to be able to add content to their sites simply and easily, without learning code or complex programs. The easiest way to make this possible is with templated blogs.
4. Good design today and in the future has to be more than pretty. We are drowning in information. Web designers need to find simple, intuitive, new ways to organize the huge amounts of data, resources, references, and links that websites and blogs contain.
