Many thousands of marathoners are racing past my house right now. However, it’s not the runners who interest me. Maybe it’s because I’m an entrepreneur, used to running my own course for the past 20 years. Maybe it’s because I’ve faced down death three times in the past five years. The racers who thrill me are the ones pedaling hand bikes and others who are using not only superb skill but also sheer determination to get through the course. Here are the first two I saw. There were just a few of us there to cheer them on, but they’re my new heros even though I don’t know their names. You go!
