Those of us too lazy to run our own marathon can track friends and family as they run the New York City Marathon this Sunday. Each runner will wear a radio frequency identification tag (RFID) Champion Chip on their shoe or wheelchair/handcycle on race day.
The chip will record each runner’s official time start and finishing time. Runners can sign up friends and family to get email or text message alerts of their race progress. And friends and family can track their favorite runner by downloading a a $4.99 interface. Technology has come a long way baby.
Good luck Anthony Tomari!!
