Celebrated Red-tail hawks Pale Male and Lola are sitting on eggs which should hatch in April according to the Daily News. Several times, early on winter mornings, I have had the privilige of seeing him hunting pigeons and rodents near the castle in Central Park. His wing span is an awesome three feet or more, and he dives for prey at what looks like lightening speed. Seeing him is a helluva wonderful way to start a day!
