In case you missed it, Pope Francis did a live Hangout on Air on Thursday from the Vatican City!
Encouraging social and technological integration
Pope Francis was joined in the hangout by students with disabilities and special needs from Spain, India, Brazil and the U.S, to discuss how technology is helping them study, play and communicate.
Scholas Occurrentes is an educational entity, launched by Pope Francis, where technology, arts and sports are used to encourage social integration and the culture of encounter.
It is based on the early achievements of the Escuela de Vecinos and Escuelas Hermanas, initiatives promoted by Pope Francis when he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires. Its vision is to transform the world into a more integrated and peaceful society.
The Pontifical Academy of Sciences promotes this free global network inviting participation by schools of all levels.
