Minneapolis is about to become an unwired city, creating a universal wireless Internet access network available within city limits. The city put out an RFP today for a privately owned, $15 million to $20 million citywide wireless and fiber-optic network. The system should be up and running in 12 – 18 months according to the startribune.com
