Has the Russian Mafia infiltrated the Internet? Alex Tew, the 21 year-old college student who made a million dollars with his Million Dollar Homepage of $1 ads, has a new story. Now he says he’s being blackmailed by extortionists who want a piece of his pie. Sheesh!
He claims that ransom of $50K has been demanded to end a denial of service attack that has made his site unstable. He says the FBI is on the case and that the attacks seem to come from Russia. In any case, the kid sure does have a flare for promotion. He’s one to watch.
