Canadian blogger Jeremy Wright was detained for three hours and strip searched while trying to get to New York to begin a blog consulting assignment.
The customs agent insisted that “blogging ain’t a job” and told Wright to stop lying about going to visit people he’d never met, but to whom he talked all the time via email. “You can’t talk to someone without a phone number. Stop lying to me,” the genius said.
Wright’s ok now, but he didn’t make it to New York. He decided to take down his angry posts about the ordeal to make sure he doesn’t get arrested for speaking out. Sad times when you have to do that.
