We grow more media saturated every day and it makes me wonder if I can grow another head to keep up with it all.
Showing how seriously news media takes blogging, Associated Press, which reaches 98% of the newspapers in America, will launch its first blog at the political conventions in New York and Boston, featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Walter R. Mears.
Mears will pair with Washington-based AP reporter Nancy Benac to provide running commentary, insight, and news tidbits from the Democratic and Republican conventions, the news cooperative said.
Blog@ap.org will be available to subscribers of AP’s premium election services, AP Politics and AP Election Online.
Also for the first time, each political party has granted press credentials to several bloggers who will post live from the conventions.
