Friday the 13th PR Pitch From Hell

Hi BL Ochman,

My name is Darko and I'm a huge fan of your blog. My question is about guest posting. I have a great article about 'starting making money online' which I think would help every beginner out there. Your blog is one of the best places to spread the word out . Do you allow guests posts on your blog?

If you have MSN, Skype or any other instant messaging software, would you mind to get in touch?
My skype is: xxxx
my MSN is: xxxx@xxxx.com

Regards,
Darko

The guest post pitch is a new breed I have been seeing also. wtf?! If it were relevant content, a relevant idea, I would consider it based on the need for good content and the chutzpah alone.

kevin - definitely - it's not the guest post i object to, it's the lack of relevancy and that it's so obviously a mass pitch.

some article or seminar must have suggested the guest post pitch

Actually, Google suggested the guest post pitch. I am sorry if I offended you, but in the same way I feel embarrassed because I looked at your blog for barely 2 minutes and decided to post you this email and tell you the lie I'm a huge fan, when I've actually seen your blog for only 2 minutes.

The article was about internet beginners and starting with internet marketing, but I now see that your "blog" is not about that at all.

Once again, deep apologies.

I know Joe Dumars is considered a NBA draft genius, but man... when one of your picks is now sending out bad pitches for a PR firm, I dunno... :P
