It's Frozen Pea Friday - Pls Contribute $ to Kick Cancer's Butt

frozen_pea_fridy.pngPEAple of the Internet: today, and every Friday, is Frozen Pea Friday, a breast cancer awareness day formed on Twitter in honor of Susan Reynolds, who is on track to beat cancer's ass.

If Twitter seems silly and self-absorbed to you, check out the Frozen Pea Fund. Reynolds, who's posting on Twitter and blogging about her experience at Boobs on Ice, says: "

People who I am connected to through twitter have given me referrals, done research for me, baked for me, cheered for me, knitted for me, prayed for me, shared their stories with me, rallied around me, and started a fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society in my name."
Please donate to the Frozen Pea Fund today. All donations go to the American Cancer Society.

Peas on earth.

BL, thanks for reminding people about Frozen Pea Friday. If they click to the Frozen Pea Fund site, they'll get to see Jim Long's video of Susan Reynolds talking about what the support from the PEAple of Twitter has meant to her. And like some of the other crazy people on Twitter, I've issued a fund-raising challenge today--if we hit $7K in total donations (which would mean $1,304 for today), I'll don my pink boa and dance for the video camera to the Beatles song, "Peas, peas me." Well, I'm sure that's what they meant to say. :)
