Brijit: Reading 2.0

brijjit.pngWith way too many tasks calling for our increasingly fragmented attention, I know I'm not the only one who can't get around to reading all the news and information I'd like to follow. Along comes Brijit, a mainstream media news aggregator with a social twist.

Brigit offers 100-word summaries of MSM content, some written by staff and some by contributors who are paid $5 a summary. It focuses on digesting long-form content and picks the top stories on its home page by tracking what registered users read most.

Could be yet another nail in the coffin of mainstream media.

Thanks for the notice. We're glad to know you like what we're doing, and we'd appreciate any and all feedback you or your readers might have on how we can make our Brijit service even better.

A couple of quick points:
* We're adding new sources all the time, including print-, radio-, TV-, and Web-native content. MSM is just the beginning.
*We don't think of ourselves as another nail in the coffin for traditional media. Rather, we hope Brijit can serve as bridge between traditional and new media, between high-quality long-form content and an increasingly mobile, short-form world. It's so much more fun when everybody wins, isn't it?

Thanks again. I hope you'll become a part of our Brijit community of smart readers and writers.

Best,
Jeremy Brosowsky
