CNN Takes Simplistic View of Kathy Sierra Saga

Kathy Sierra and Chris Locke have issued coordinated statements about the threats that have been made against her online. The two appeared today on CNN, whose coverage of the issue was simplistic at best. They actually call it a case of evil against a "cute kitty." Jeez.

According to Robert Scoble, he and several others who were filmed by CNN were left on the cutting room floor.

CNN states that "the alternative is censoring, and nobody wants that." Wrong! The alternative is reason. No ethics code, law, or censorship is going to stop jerks -- or TV news reporters -- from being jerks.
