Anderson Cooper 360 Podcast Launches; Pet Food Contamination May Have Been Intentional

CNN has just launched a daily Anderson Cooper 360 podcast, which will feature highlights from the nightly broadcast "Extending its reach to millions of on-the-go news junkies and portable video player enthusiasts"

While looking around on his site, I came across this incredibly sad news that he reported that the contamination of pet food may have been intentional:

"The FDA says it's possible that melamine can be used to raise protein levels in wheat gluten. Higher protein levels make the wheat gluten more valuable. So, ... Was this all about money?"
Reports today say that at least 39,000 pets may be sick or dead, and many more may follow.

A national march to keep our pets safe is being planned for Saturday, April 28.

I just wanted to say thank you for your posts that have helped greatly to keep me up to date on this issue. I've lost one cat and had another ill, here in Spain. Could be coincidental, but since the recall of some foods has spread to Europe, probably not and, we've had absolutely no news locally.

Has anyone stopped to think that we may be watching a field test of a contamination scheme?
