Hey Splenda! You Missed Splenda-Sucks.com

product_sucks_small.jpgSustainable is Good points out that splendakills.com, victimsofsplenda.com, splendatoxicity.com are among the nearly 300 domain names owned by Tate & Lyle the manufacturer of Splenda and Johnson & Johnson, the co-developer. They missed splenda-sucks.com.It's available. Or it was when I wrote this post.

"The mere fact a major company owns domain names associated with its star product that include the words, “kills,” “victims,” “toxicity,” “dangers,” “not so safe,” “sucks,” and many others is rather alarming....Is there something these companies know about Splenda® that make them feel the need to buy all these domain names before someone else can? "

They missed a few others as well - your example underscores that point perfectly. What an interesting look at trying to deal with negative websites related to their product, Splenda. Who came up with idea to buy "victimsofsplenda.com" ?
