Dumb Animal? They're (a Lot) Smarter Than We Think

terrier.pngThis morning, a friend of mine, lost her little Jack Russell Terrier, Chloe, in Central Park.

Benny and I, along with several other dogs and their owners, joined her in the search. After about 40 minutes, my friend ran home to get her cell phone. And there, in her apartment, was her dog.

Chloe had managed to make her way home across the two-way traffic of busy four-lane Central Park West, down several blocks, to her building. The doorman knew her, and put her in her apartment. When her frantic owner got home, Chloe was waiting calmly, unharmed.

Next time you think of a dog as a dumb animal, remember Chloe.

Great story. They are so much smarter than we realize. I love pooches and I'm very happy for your friend.
