Can Having 1.7 Million Friends on MySpace Make You a Recording Star?

tequila.pngFormer Playboy model Tila Tequila has 1.7 million MySpace friends, and she's trying to use them to market her seriously terrible "I Love U" on iTunes rather than signing with a major label. She says her music video is "the first one in history to have EVER been shot specifically for mobile phones."

Ms. Tequila says she rejected offers from major record companies because she thinks she can sell more and make more money through her MySpace community. Her MySpace page notes that she has multiple personalities and is bi-polar. And watch out, she says, or she'll "fuck you up.*

I think she's dreaming because this cow's already given away enough milk for all but the most dedicated fans to be sated. But then again, I'm not a teenage boy.
