Roanoke Times' Great Recruitment Ad Makes Me Want to Apply

roanoke.pngAmy Gahran is right, this Roanoke Times recruitment ad is the coolest job ad ever. The sure-to-go-viral ad begins with Roanoke Times multimedia editor Seth Gitner banging on your monitor to get your attention, and then explaining the position and the ad.

It's the first time I've ever seen a recruitment ad that actually was creative and fun, like the person they say they are seeking. Don't miss it.

Hey, I have a J degree! Is Roanoke dog-friendly? (Benny Bix Ochman Labradoodle Puppy asked that question.)

I guess if I move there Ill have to learn to mumble "Roanoke" like everyone in the ad.

Great idea Seth. However the flash/stream is brutally choppy on my OK computer (unintended shout out to Radiohead). However, I'm still sending this one to my nervous newspaper friends.
Cheers, Adam

If Roanoke can become "Rono," I'm going to start calling Minneapolis "Mipl."
