Vote! Or Shut Up

Please make sure you vote today. It only takes a few minutes, but the election outcome affects our lives for years to come.

Everyone has an opinion. You know I voted to reject the Bush policy of fear, but what's important is that you vote for what you believe in.

Or shut up.

Now, here is a question for you and all your readers: Can Online Social Networks be used to help get out the vote?

Here is what I've been trying to do with Facebook:

Please, get out and vote. When you get back, join the Facebook group, I voted in 2006 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2216162232

Then, start getting each of your friends on facebook to get out and vote and join the I voted group.

Let's show people that Facebook people do vote.

Ah if it were only that easy. It does not take several minutes and some voting booths have simply shut down because the computers were not online. The voting center in Denver (the one nearest to me) has a line of 4 hours. It has been like that all day. They, too, are having computer problems as well. Read this article on Red Herring for the cluster that is voting in this country.
