The Viral Video Chart, a hit parade tracking the most popular videos on YouTube, MySpace and Google Video lists Keith Olbermann commentaries in the Numbers One and Three Spots, and a paen to the, umm, feelings between Dr Spock and Captain Kirk as the second most popular.
Scott Button, of Unruly Media in London, called his four-week-old project "the world's first comprehensive and independent online video chart." Button told Frank Barnako that his team of three people "scans several million blogs a day to see which online videos people are talking about the most." They analyze Web log posts to find videos on MySpace, Google Video (GOOG), and YouTube to that are generating the most buzz, and produce a daily video hit parade chart.
