Business Blogs Need a Sense of Humor

metro_logo.jpgPaul Berger interviews me today about corporate blogging (page 4) in Metro New York, the free paper given out all over the city. It's also the biggest newspaper in the world, Berger says, with 61 daily Metro editions in 88 major cities in 19 countries in 18 languages across Europe, North & South America and Asia.

"Any advice for business owners about blogging?"

Could not agree more about making customers smile! Why do businesses insist on taking themselves so seriously? I think Gordon Gekko and the Geico Gecko would concur: greed is good, but grim is bad. Most customers relish those (rare) opportunities to be enlightened and entertained at the same time. Blogs are a great place to make that happen.
