Conversational Index: Enough About Me, What About You?
Stowe Boyd'sConversational Index says that all successful blogs have more comments and trackbacks than they have posts. He says Technorati and others tracking links to a blog are missing the more important dynamic -- how engaged are the blog's readers? We've got more conversation than posts, for whatever it's worth.
If your readers value your content but are in the early stages of blogging and are reticent to join the conversation.
Sigh, there's an exception to every rule. But lurkers would grow in number in non-consumer, non-tech blogs...there have to be at least five of those, right? lol
