Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery, I Guess

HellCover.gif
Inspired by What's Next Blog's features on press releases and pitches from hell, and no doubt by the success of my e-book, Press Releases (and emails) From Hell and How to Fix Them, Kevin Dugan and Richard Laermer have started the Bad Pitch Blog.

Imitation, of course, is the sincerest form of flattery. Hey Kevin: I already own the URL pressreleasesthatsuck.com

Hey BL. I wish I could give you all the credit, but the perpetrators of the crime are who pushed me over the edge.

Since all the PR bloggers have been added to Media Map's dbase, we're seeing how bad it can get for the Fourth Estate. It occured to me that someone is PAYING for folks to create and propogate this crap. Oy. If only we could send them your book in response. OK, we could. But you know what I mean. ;-)

We need to attack them from all sides...until they learn. Journalists are doing it, you're doing it and now some PR folks are trying to self-police as well.
