Feed2Podcast Makes Your RSS Feed a Podcast

feed2podcast.jpgI know I said podcasts bore me to tears earlier today, but the beta of space age Feed2Podcast is totally cool. Its voice recognition software instantly turns your blog's RSS feed content into a podcast.

Listen to the What's Next Blog RSS Feed podcast here. Sounds like it's being read by Hal. But the voice recognition technology of Feed2Podcast gets better all the time.

Their blog details their progress on the beta.

Wow, that is pretty horrible. Here's what mine sounds like: http://snipurl.com/lwdg
It's good for blogs where the copy doesn't depend on the pics displayed. My blog is pretty pic and movie heavy so it sounds rediculous!

This appears to be voice synthesis, not voice recognition -- voice recognition recognizes spoken voice and converts it to text, voice synthesis does the much easier task of converting text to voice.

I used feed2podcast on my own site feed - i like it, the voice is not as sythetic as it could sound.
