Dilbert's Scott Adams Uses Blog to Seek Aspiring Artist
Dilbert creator Scott Adam has a want ad on his Dilbert Blog seeking "an excellent artist who is willing to work for practically nothing just to get some attention" by taking over the artwork for the comic strip Unfit.
Applicants are asked to re-draw recent Unfit comics using their own poses, perspectives and characters and email them, with a resume, to Mike Belkin who currently draws the syndicated strip.
"The artist who is selected, if any, will get a cut of the revenue from newspapers and web syndication of Unfit. At the moment that wouldn’t keep you in tube socks. You’d be betting on the future," says Adams.
Editor & Publishernotes that "there has been speculation that Belkin is a pen name for Adams, because the drawing in "Unfit" is so "Dilbert"-like. But Adams denied this."
