Microsoft and Yahoo! Make Deal on IM and VOIP Compatability

Kevin Delaney at the Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft and Yahoo! have established a communications partnership that will allow users of their free communications services -- including instant messaging and commputer-to-computer voice calling -- to be able to communicate directly for the first time.

I love following your posts to find breaking news, but why do you always link to a news item that requires you to sign up before you can read the post.
I and (and I imagine many others) would take the headline and search for the item in google news so we can read it there instead of signing up to a site to read it.
